Project Manager, VP, DataGX
State Street Global Exchange DataGX is the fast growing data-as-a-service outsourced business offering. The technology and service solution can provide our clients with a service supporting their full end to end financial data needs for reporting, regulatory and other business needs.

State Street Global Exchange's Data Solutions team is seeking an experienced versatile individual with strong business systems and enterprise data management experience in the financial services space. The individual will be responsible for leading all facets of new client implementations and other initiatives.

The successful candidate must possess experience in the leading and delivery of complex date solution programmes with strong programme/project management skills. They should possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; a proven ability to liaise between business/implementation and technology teams; and strong collaboration skills. This role is a key role within the broader DataGX EMEA client implementation team.

Role Specifics:
  • In-depth project and programme management skills in preferably Waterfall but Agile also of benefit
  • Solid project management methodology and governance model skill set
  • Experience in enterprise data solutions implementation within the financial services industry
  • Ability to gather initial requirements in the scoping phase of implementation initiatives to support the initial planning, resourcing and costing of implementation efforts
  • Excellent project plan skills preferable MS Project and the ability to build and manage logical and clear project delivery plans
  • Ability to drive estimates for resourcing and timelines for delivery from the project team to manage client expectations and planning
  • Manage project resources and teams for strong delivery of DataGX client implementations
  • Strong client facing skills to manage expectations and client delivery
  • Ability to manage global project team and global client footprint
  • Excellent project management disciplines to manage complex solution deliveries including detailed project planning, risk, assumptions, issues, dependencies, resource plans, stake holder reporting, requirements and change management
  • Tracking of resource and spend to provide support on profitability and commercial view of implementations
  • Managing of internal and external senior stake holders through Steering Committees and ad-hoc proactive communication
  • On-boarding and hand over of DataGX implementation to Operations and Service Management
  • Support on-going enhancements to scope of services for existing or new clients as needed
  • Ability to tenaciously achieve results and work off own initiative to ensure delivery success
    Other areas of input will include:
  • Contribute input on EMEA-specific product requirements (for specific client or to close product gaps) and enlist DataGX Product support as related to:
    • In-bound and out-bound system feeds
    • Data models
    • Data marts
    • Product technical documentation
  • Contribute input on overall DataGX product enhancements and requirements including:
    • Product functionality
    • Technology architecture
    • Competitive positioning
    • Internal and external feed requirements
  • Collaborate with other DataGX implementation team members to share best practices, raise issues, develop consistent global processes
