Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking recent graduates, early career professionals, and advanced career professionals with limited technical experience interested in jump-starting a career as an Associate Professional Services Consultant and participating in the AWS Tech U program to advance their technical and professional skills.

The AWS Professional Services Graduate role is 12 month accelerated workforce development program focused on helping recent graduates and early career professionals build technical and professional skills to jump-start technical careers at AWS. The program features a six-month cohort-based training followed by six months of on-the-job-training. You will complete specialized curriculum, shadow AWS experts, and receive coaching and on-the-job training to help you succeed in your new role and work towards. We hire people who have a passion for learning and are curious. You will be supported in your career development here at AWS

Residents will also prepare to take the certification exams for AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate. During the program's On-the-Job training phase, you will prepare for additional certifications that align to your role.

Associate Professional Services Consultant-

As an Associate Professional Services Consultant, you will partner with customers and several AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand best practices around cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build min-share and broad use of AWS within organizations.

You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build min-share and broad use of AWS within organizations.

All of our Professional Services Consultants are positioned along tracks like:
• Application Developer - AppDev resources are specialists in designing applications that run natively in the cloud. They are experts in building programs that run on any number of platforms including virtualized instances, containers, or server less architecture.
• Cloud Infrastructure Architect - An expert in cloud-based networking and system rollouts. CIAs specialize in network performance, infrastructure provisioning, and building Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
• DevOps Specialist - A leader in building advanced computing systems that harness continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines and utilize the strengths of cloud computing to build scalable and economical systems for customers.
• Data Lake & Analytics Specialist - This role will specifically focus on data processing capabilities and helping our customers and partners to remove the constraints that prevent our customers from leveraging their data to develop business insights. Engagements will include migration of existing applications and development of new applications using AWS cloud services.
• Data Warehouse & MPP Specialist - This role will specifically focus on large scale data warehousing and database migration capabilities. Engagements will include Redshift implementations and helping customers to migrate from their existing on-premises data warehouses using other databases to Amazon Redshift.
• Data & Machine Learning Engineer - In this role, you will work with our partners and customers with a focus on our AWS Analytics.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently enrolled in final year or received a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) (or graduated less than 12 months ago)
• 0-2 years of relevant experience with Degree or Masters as above
• Experience with one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++
• Experience with two or more of the following Networking fundamentals, Security, Storage or Databases (Relational and/or NoSQL), Operating Systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows)
• Proficiency in English and German

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Good communication skills and ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to both large and small audiences
• Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution in a school project or while working for a company
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies
• Awareness of cloud technologies and AWS services such as EC2, ELB, RDS, VPC, Route53, Lambda, and S3
• Entrepreneurial spirit as demonstrated in extracurricular activities
• Self-starter with hands-on mentality
• Knowledge of local business market, e.g. through internships, part-time work experience, or student body activities
• One additional regional language (B2 or above)
