The Position

Sitting within Wellington's Global Marketing EMEA team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Marketing Manager to create, improve and maintain the messaging, positioning and marketing collateral for Wellington's fund range and broader investment capabilities. This role will have a retail focus and you should have a passion for transforming complex investment products into a compelling marketing story that resonates and appeals to an intermediary/retail audience. Product Marketing has a key role in the launch and implementation of fund/capability campaigns and new fund launches.


Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Taking the lead in formulating product messaging and content for both UCITS and non-UCITS fund launches (approximately one fund launch per month on average).
  • Developing product messaging, analysis of competitor fund collateral to identify features of differentiation, awareness of market trends to formulate the 'marketing story' for each fund.
  • Planning and implementing product messaging and creatives for EMEA/UK campaigns across the marketing mix, focusing on sales materials and leveraging content across web, email and print.
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of fund content and data to the Relationship team and the Digital Marketing team for fund launches. 
  • Helping the Product Marketing team to improve the content, appearance and commercial appeal of our existing marketing collateral.
  • Attending Product Development meetings for UCITS and non-UCITS funds and at launch meetings for new products.


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in a Marketing role at an asset manager.
  • Experience in the creation of fund promotional material (fund profiles, pitchbooks and other marketing collateral).
  • Strong knowledge of UCITS and local fund ranges marketing rules in the UK and Europe.
  • Strong knowledge of retail marketing and fund categories in EMEA databases such as Morningstar, Lipper, FE, Citywire, and the IA sectors in the UK.
  • Being an investment-led firm, demonstrable and robust investment knowledge across asset classes.
  • The candidate should be an able networker and a strong but respectful influencer in order to facilitate the varying requirements of sales and Product Management.
