Principal Solution Architect (Healthcare)

This Principal Solution Architect role sits within healthcare-focused programmes, and candidates must demonstrate proven experience designing and delivering solutions within healthcare environments.

As a Principal Solution Architect, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering complex, high-impact healthcare solutions, combining technical leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on delivery oversight.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Lead architecture as a Principal Solution Architect across large-scale healthcare transformation programmes
• Define and drive solution strategy and design across complex systems
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to shape outcomes and direction
• Provide leadership and assurance across multidisciplinary delivery teams
• Influence technical standards, approaches, and best practices
• Mentor architects and engineers while building capability

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions as a Principal Solution Architect
• Define architecture principles, patterns, and standards across programmes
• Engage senior stakeholders to shape solution direction and strategy
• Provide assurance to engineering teams across design and implementation
• Balance functional and non-functional requirements within solution design
• Contribute to account growth, strategy, and client relationship development
• Support and mentor architects and engineers within delivery teams
• Drive continuous improvement across architecture, delivery, and engineering practices

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Principal Solution Architect (or equivalent) within healthcare environments
• Strong background in modern software architecture and engineering practices
• Experience leading architecture across multi-team or large programme delivery
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement at C-level
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)
• Strong understanding of non-functional design considerations
• Engineering background with the ability to lead and guide development teams
• Experience contributing to sales, account growth, and solution shaping
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, lead, and develop technical teams
