Role Purpose

  • The Partnership Risk Manager is responsible for driving third party risk management related activities across the Strategic Partnerships managed by Group Insurance.
  • The role provides risk management support, subject matter expertise and direction for Partnership Risk related activities and issues in conjunction with the Third Party Risk Officers.
  • The roleholder will be responsible to coordinating the implementation of the Group Third Party Risk Management Policy and Framework for insurance Strategic Partnerships.
  • He/she will support the development, execution and maintenance of the Third Party Risk Governance strategy for Insurance Strategic Partnerships to ensure coordinated, consistent, effective and complete adoption of the Group Policy and Framework.
  • Advice, guide and support Third Party Engagement Managers & Risk Owners by establishing thresholds to identify materiality of Risk or Regulatory importance.

The scope of Group Insurance Strategic Partnerships includes:

  • Partnerships with third party manufacturers
  • Partnerships with third party distributors
  • Relationships between Insurance and other internal businesses

Operating in a highly competitive environment, Group Insurance manages relationships with various third party insurers and intermediaries in order to provide appropriate products and distribution channels that will differentiate our customer experience and deliver market leading insurance solutions. With presence in multiple countries and over several hundred Strategic Partnerships, Third Party Risk Management is a critical function for Group Insurance, responsible for managing the day to day risks presented by these operations.

In an increasingly governed and regulated environment, the ability to provide assurance that Global / Country / Business Line models are being deployed in countries to an agreed standard is paramount.


  • Extensive Risk management background preferably with good understanding of Insurance business.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required; with excellent planning, organizing, influencing and commercial skills ;
  • Highly effective in working with all levels of management and staff and in a matrix environment; adapts well to multi culturally diverse work environments; ability to manage resources in the most effective way to achieve cost/service levels.
  • Strong Relationship management and risk management skills.
