We Offer
Wealth Planning is a key advisory offering for the UK Market Area, and we are embarking on a significant expansionary phase, having been identified as a significant contributor to the strategic objectives of the Bank's International Wealth Management division.

We embrace working as part of a small team, with the main objective being to provide technical and administrative support to the Wealth Planning team and other colleagues within the Private Bank.

You will need to be able to understand the needs of HNW and UHNW clients and appropriate advice solutions, supporting the teams to ensure that such advice is technically proficient and complaint at all times.

You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Wealth Planning business, ensuring that controls and processes are adhered to and that record-keeping is accurate and maintained up to date.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We expect you to contribute to the maintenance of the governance framework around the Bank's wealth products, improving and taking the initiative around the development of required frameworks
  • Preparing for client meetings, researching and obtaining information on client investments as required
  • Preparing client suitability reports, reviews and proposals
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Relationship Managers, Back Office functions and product providers
  • Acting as key point of contact for dealing with queries relating to Wealth Planning business
  • Liaising with clients and product providers to ensure client transactions are processed without delay
  • Updating client record-keeping systems with all wealth planning activity
  • Maintaining and updating Wealth Planning management information and control registers
  • Acting with integrity when conducting all business activities in line with Bank's internal procedures and external regulatory requirements
  • Sharing knowledge and appropriate information with internal stakeholders and team members
  • Undertaking administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as required

You Offer
  • You should have previous experience within financial services in a similar role
  • Good understanding of the Wealth Planning process and products
  • You should be highly professional and conscientious, with good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • We value the ability to work under pressure and achieve agreed outcomes without supervision and a dedicated self-starter with ability to prioritise and plan own workload
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good IT and report writing skills
  • Certificate in Paraplanning or Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards)
  • Experience of working with high net worth clients within a Private bank or wealth management firm
  • An understanding of tax treatment of Wealth Planning products and of the legal and regulatory environment applicable, including knowledge of the tax treatment applicable to UK RNDs
  • Good understanding of the uses of trusts in the Wealth Planning process
  • Experience of Voyant cashflow modelling software
