Team Profile:

We are seeking to attract an exceptional PMO professional to take on a high-profile, multi-faceted role, dealing with internal technology managers and business unit customers. The role will suit someone who is proactive, diligent, process orientated, comfortable working to deadlines and who thrives in an environment of change.

The Product Control Technology team is distributed globally across London, New York, Budapest, Montreal and Mumbai. This global team of IT developers work on a variety of projects supporting the Finance division including data warehousing, data quality, data attestation, accounting, bookkeeping, P&L reporting, and valuation review.

The PMO (Project Management Office) is a group who oversees the reporting of projects and programs within Product Control Tech. They are not responsible for the day to day running of projects but play a role in ensuring that consistent levels of reporting and risk management are carried out across the group. The successful candidate will work closely with project leads and internal clients globally to ensure consistent, clear reporting of projects within the compliance of firm wide standards. They will also be required to work on tasks spanning across Resource, Financial and Risk management.

Role Profile:

  • Program and Project status reporting
  • Production of materials for Steering Committee meetings
  • Regular tracking of risk issues and compliance with remediation deadlines
  • Ensuring completion of mandatory upgrades
  • Escalation of delivery issues for resolution by team management
  • Enforcing compliance with PLC (Project Life Cycle) and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) policies
  • Design, documentation and training of efficient project tracking procedures
  • Budget and Forecast preparation
  • Financial Tracking of plan vs. actual for project / program costs, expenses (travel) and resourcing strategy/hiring.
  • Continuous improvement of PMO process and looking for efficiency gains
  • Facilitation of team meetings
  • Maintenance of team communication sites (SharePoint, wiki, jive)
  • Preparation of project governance materials




Qualifications:


Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and experience of Project and Program Management techniques / methodologies, as well as experience of managing budgets, resourcing, forecasts and variance reporting
  • Ability to interact and empathize with development teams, demonstrating the ability to act as a value add partner for those teams.
  • Able to manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines.
  • Willingness to take ownership and accountability to execute and deliver on goals; strong commitment to high quality standards.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to efficiently prioritize and multitask, and work under pressure to meet deadlines and team objectives.
  • Proven ability to challenge status-quo, improve process and drive results.
  • Strong team spirit and relationship management skills
  • Competent in MSExcel (Pivot Tables, vlookups)
  • Proficiency in other Microsoft Office Products, particularly PowerPoint
  • Prior experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Life Cycle (PLC) compliance and tracking.
  • Knowledge of Finance products or previous experience within an Investment Bank
