This role will be working under River and Mercantile Derivatives

Key responsibilities

• A basic understanding of derivative products, especially Interest Rate and Inflation Swaps;
• Exposure to collateral management process, including agreement of counterparty valuations and instruction of margin calls;
• Understanding the post-trade life cycle (including tracking, confirmation, investigation and resolution of trade-matching, confirmation and settlement issues);
• Familiarity with ISDA/CSA documentation;
• Ensuring the timely and accurate agreement of margin calls with the banks;
• Managing the cash and physical delivery process;
• Managing the cash and unit reconciliations;
• Treasury operations including payments monitoring;
• Trade capture – via custodian’s on-line system / fax / email;
• Possess a good understanding of risk management and control conscious;
• An effective communication and ability to deal with a diversity of staff members, clients and counterparties.


Knowledge and Experience

Educated to a minimum of a 2.1 honours degree in a numerical, finance or economics based subject (ideally also having some experience within a financial company for over a year or two).
