Mayfair-based investment management firm is currently hiring an Operations Analyst to join its expanding team. The fund has a long-standing track record, and emphasis on values, culture, and strong relationship building with external and internal parties. The purpose of the role is to provide operational, compliance, risk management, and client services support to the company.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

Operations

Trade Settlement

  • Engage in a full operational lifecycle for existing funds including: Allocation, Settlement, Reconciliation, Trade reporting, interacting with Portfolio Managers, Brokers, and Custodians
  • Act as a primary contact for day-to-day operational activities
  • Improve operational efficiency of daily processing, drive process and technology enhancements

Cash management

  • Monitor and process cash transactions
  • Substantiate and meet margin calls across all funds
  • Perform bank reconciliations

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Contribute to the Company’s ongoing compliance monitoring and reporting
  • Monitor risk parameters and position limits
  • Perform ad hoc reviews and analyses as appropriate

Client Services

  • Assist in the preparation of client reports
  • Assist in service provider relationship management

Administration

  • Provide general administrative support to the company

Skills and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 2:1 or equivalent
  • Financial or investment environment experience
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel (VBA knowledge preferred)
  • A friendly professional demeanor and ability to excel in a team-oriented environment
  • Proactive and inquisitive nature, highly numerate with strong analytical skills
  • Motivated and hardworking, with a strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of equity markets

  • Desire and ability to work successfully in a small company environment
