Our client is a global banking group based in the City.  They are seeking an experienced risk professional to join their team.

 

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and enhance Risk Management capabilities and handle the day to day Operational Risk Management duties within the Risk team
  • Monitor, track and report on Operational Risk issues on regular basis
  • Review, analyse and prepare qualitative/quantitative risk assessments and reports as required
  • Prepare and maintain Risk Management documentation including Risk reports, audit trails and policies
  • Develop risk identification tools relevant for the business; develop risk assessment tools; and develop risk monitoring and reporting tools relevant for the Bank.
  • Assist in the implementation and embedding of an Operational Risk System
  • Support the businesses in the identification, assessment and treatment of Operational Risks.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a Consolidated Risk Register at the business and it’s linkage into the ICAAP.
  • Monitor the Bank’s risk exposure relative to risk appetite and tolerance. Report any excesses and new or emerging risks to the CRO
  • Provide timely updates of Operational Risk issues and decisions to Management
  • Development appropriate business and departmental risk registers.
  • Maintain the Consolidated Risk Register
  • Perform Operational Risk Assurance over departmental Risks and Controls once ORMF fully embedded at the business

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Significant generalist broad based Risk knowledge (Operational Risk and/or Compliance)
  • Demonstrable experience of Risk and/or Compliance
  • University degree / professional qualification in Banking / Risk Management ideal, however demonstration of adequate experience and knowledge is essential
  • Advanced user of computers for Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Email and Internet
