Selby Jennings are working on behalf of a market leading Alternative Data Solutions Provider looking to build out their team with the acquisition of a New Business Sales Hunter. Here your primary focus will be to prospect and hunt new logos as well as effectively manage, grow and enhance existing relationships throughout the EMEA market.

Key Responsibilities for this Role:

  • Generate and nurture new business leads in the within the UK
  • Meet assigned annual sales quotas
  • Hunt new logos as a sole contributor
  • Initiate and drive the sales cycle from first contact through to closing out deals - leveraging internal expertise where required
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations and demonstrations of the software, articulately and confidently
  • Occasional travel to client sites/events/conferences within territory
  • Provide clients and prospects with detailed proposals, product demonstrations, and consultations (in person or via phone)
  • Build a strong working knowledge of competitive intelligence space and company product positioning
  • Develop the product, technical, and alternative investment market knowledge
  • Present the products and services to clients, peers, and management as it relates to performance and planning

Key Requirements for this Role:

  • 3+ years of New Business Sales experience (in a similar discipline preferred: financial services, alternative investments, business to business SaaS sales, solution selling)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
  • Proven track record in hitting quota and retention targets
  • Organized, detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond quickly
  • Negotiation skills as it relates to renewal upsells, cross-selling, and additional product add-ons
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM systems. Experience with Salesforce is preferred
  • Working knowledge of the financial market data space, alternative assets, and financial services industries
  • Sales motivated, team-focused attitude, and willingness to collaborate with peers, product management, and internal key constituents at the firm
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or related field required
