The Media Relations Executive is a member of the Corporate Media Relations team and is responsible for supporting the Media Relations team in global media campaigns and implementing the global corporate PR strategy as defined by the Global Head of Media Relations. They will also support the UK Media Relations Manager in implementing the UK PR strategy.

The Media Relations Executive is a member of the Corporate Media Relations team and is responsible for supporting the Media Relations team in global media campaigns and implementing the global corporate PR strategy as defined by the Global Head of Media Relations. They will also support the UK Media Relations Manager in implementing the UK PR strategy.

Key Accountabilities:

Assist with the monitoring and managing of AXA IM’s brand reputation in the UK and pan European media: ensure the company protects its image in a proper, coordinated, and consistent manner

- Cultivate and enhance collaborative working relationships with the press
- Detect public relations issues as they emerge and address them directly
- Monitor and analyse media coverage

Contribute to the implementation of AXA IM’s global corporate media relations strategy

- Promote AXA IM’s corporate speakers where and when appropriate
- Take the lead for media relations on sales campaigns defined by global marketing and support as required
- Contribute to providing ideas, content and solutions to help develop AXA IM’s visibility in the press worldwide

Implement AXA IM’s UK media relations strategy (with the support of the UK Media Relations Manager and the UK PR agency)

- Maintain and where necessary build relationships with key UK journalists
- Compose and edit press releases, position statements, Q&As, media comments, media briefings, press kits etc
- Plan and oversee press events (press conferences, exhibitions, media seminars...)
- Liaise with the UK Marketing department to publicise the company’s services and events in a coordinated manner
- Have regular interaction with AXA IM’s UK PR agency
- Support the UK Media Relations Manager in measuring AXA IM’s impact in the press: monitor key media relations KPIs / provide the necessary and effective reporting / measurement tools.
- In time, act as a back-up media spokesperson on behalf of the company
- Assist in increasing awareness and visibility of AXA IM in the UK media (including UK based Pan-European media)

Role Requirements:

Education/Qualifications:

- Degree level education

Experience:

-1+ years’ experience in the media relations space

Knowledge and Skills

- Excellent writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience of building relationships with journalists

- Pro-active multi-tasker
- Highly organised with the ability to meet strict deadlines
