The primary function of this role is to manage the day-to-day channel marketing activity for the Discretionary Fund Management (DFM) team and to map out the strategy for, create and successfully promote our Model Portfolio Service (MPS). 


Working closely with the marketing and sales teams across Cazenove Capital and Schroders, the role involves delivering a range of marketing initiatives that are aligned to the business strategy, from idea stage through to implementation. Due to the cross-business involvement of this role it is an exciting and dynamic position which will provide broad exposure to both business areas.  All marketing activity must be delivered on schedule, meet the objectives of the business along with any ROI objectives. 


Any output produced must follow the correct compliance process, regulatory framework and TCF requirements as well as adhering to the corporate brand and style guidelines of the business.


A key part of this role requires the building of relationships with the many stakeholders across both Cazenove Capital and Schroders including client facing portfolio managers, compliance and legal, as well as external media and creative agencies. Strong communication and presentation skills are therefore an essential part of this role. 


Main duties and responsibilities
  • Create and deliver a high quality marketing campaigns for the DFM team (above and below-the-line)
  • Work closely with Schroders UK Marketing to support and drive platform marketing activity 
  • Coordinate and review effectiveness of the campaigns to highlight key learnings and recommendations 
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with media buyer, creative and other agencies as required, to ensure objectives and deadlines are met and activity is delivered within budget
  • Generate and maintain a suite of literature and day-to-day materials and support the DFM team and Schroders marketing and sales by providing marketing collateral and assistance where required for distribution
  • Manage the delivery of service and product specific videos in relation to DFM/MPS for internal and external distribution
  • Support all areas of the marketing team, when required, in assisting them to carry out their various duties and accountabilities
  • Close involvement with IFA/Platform/Network related events – driving the marketing elements 
  • Ensure brand/style guidelines and correct processes are followed across the business
  • Ensure all materials meet FCA and TCF requirements and complete appropriate Financial Promotions checklist

The Person


Qualifications (educational, professional, regulatory)
  • Hold a degree level qualification, or equivalent level qualification
  • Professional Diploma in Marketing, as recognised by CIM, or equivalent would be advantageous
  • Investment Management Certificate, Investment Operations Certificate or equivalent would be advantageous.

Essential skills and experience
  • Campaign management skills – execution of full marketing mix both above and below-the-line 
  • Copywriting skills
  • Media planning, liaising with publishers, creative, and film crew production
  • Strong marketing experience (full mix) and knowledge of Asset Management/Wealth Management/Financial services industry in order to fulfil the requirements of the role
  • Experience of briefing and managing internal and external agencies and working on marketing collateral and campaigns from initiation to delivery
  • Product knowledge – experience of marketing Discretionary Fund Management and Model Portfolios
  • Post campaign evaluation / assessment of ROI
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of the financial promotions rules and TCF framework

  • A thorough understanding of how the business operates and how we work with clients; D2C and B2B
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements needed when producing marketing material and financial promotions
