My client are one of the largest specialised investment advisory firms who offer both discretionary portfolio solutions and non-discretionary. They are looking for a Marketing Director to join their firm.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of the growing European team, an exciting role has been created to help further my client's footprint within the institutional market.
The role will allow you to work closely with the dynamic European Pension practice and to help with the strategic grow our client base. You will also be working with the wider Business Development team and the my client's practice groups to support new business opportunities. The role requires delivery of high-quality proposals and presentations.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter and has exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as internal and external relationship management building abilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
Setting and implementing a marketing strategy for all practices across Europe and ensure cohesive messaging throughout the region
Implement marketing campaigns and measuring campaign effectiveness.
Collaborate with external event organisers to secure speaking roles for firm experts at industry events and help Investment Directors to prepare.
Co-ordinate and putting together talking points / content for external conferences and press interviews.
Work closely with EMEA BD team to plan and execute events, roadshows and roundtables.
Evaluate industry event invitations and sponsorship opportunities to determine whether additive to business priorities.
Review existing events and conference opportunities on an ongoing basis to ensure they remain relevant and the best use of resources.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with media partners.
Work closely with my clients' Director of Global Public Relations, the firm's external public relations agency and internal spokespeople to coordinate responses to press inquiries, develop press releases, plan media tours, and manage agenda of PR efforts
Assist with ghost writing by-lined articles and op-eds for placement in the press.
Help develop and implement Europe's digital marketing strategy, including social media campaigns.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of the institutional investment marketplace and investment management principles desired
Strong background in marketing for institutional investment firms and private wealth managers
Excellent organisational and project management skills
Very strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven success running a PR program, PR agency experience desired
Reputation management or crisis my client externally
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Confident and personable manner
Fluent English speaker and writer, German language also preferred but not essential. Additional language a bonus
