An exciting opportunity to work for a fast-paced, innovative specialty finance company, this role is part of a small, highly skilled team that partners with stakeholders across finance and the wider business including the Executive Committee, Investor Relations, Treasury, Commercial and Credit Risk teams.

This role is ideally suited to a candidate looking to work and develop in a dynamic, "hands-on" environment, with involvement across a broad range activities including investor relations, corporate development, financial planning & analysis, project work, and new business initiatives. It provides the opportunity to engage with multiple stakeholders across Finance and the business, including executive management.

The candidate will ideally have financial services experience, with a strong financial modelling background and with experience of presenting executive level management information. The candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable operating with autonomy and engaging with senior stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

    • Investor Relations:
  • Senior finance partner supporting the Head of Investor Relations for the Quarterly bond investor reporting, providing analysis and insight and leading on the preparation of the investor presentation, scripts and Q&A material for the Group CEO and Group CFO
  • Lead the adhoc preparation of analysis and material and providing insight to support presentations to Group Board, Executive Committee, Ratings Agencies, Shareholders and Regulators
  • Support any M&A / Corporate Development / new initiative activity

    • Commercial financial planning & Scenario analysis:
  • Play a key role in the preparation of the Company's annual Budget and major strategic forecasts by helping to align the external and internal key performance indicators and messaging, thus helping to deliver a coherent, integrated multi-year forecast across the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow
  • Lead the analytical review and insight into impacts of new regulatory developments, competitor analysis, economic scenarios, or commercial initiatives
  • Support the Group's stress testing and scenario analysis, including macro scenarios and working with teams across the business to develop PRA style stress testing

    • Treasury Finance Partnering:
  • Senior finance business partner to the Treasury function leading on the preparation of financial analysis or modelling for ad-hoc queries from senior management, the Executive Committee or Shareholders
  • Support the investor relations process by leading the preparation of any Treasury specific analysis and material
  • Member of the monthly Assets & Liabilities Working Group with preparation of corporate analysis and insight when required
  • Support the preparation of the long-term cash flow and liquidity forecasts taking account of portfolio leverage, debt issuance and working capital requirements. Provide analysis and insight to senior stakeholders including the Group CFO

Profile

MUST HAVE:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to write and present information in a clear and concise fashion to senior management
  • Highly proficient in Excel, with experience building corporate level financial forecasting models in Excel, using a logical and analytical approach
  • Ability to generate commercial insight from raw data
  • Demonstrable experience in an FP&A or Partnering role, working with commercial and functional teams to achieve results
  • Experience working in Financial Services
  • At least a 2.1 degree in a highly numerical discipline such as PPE, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering or similar

WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Experience working in Investor Relations or Corporate Finance / Development
  • Working knowledge of credit cards or unsecured consumer lending
  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent professional qualifications
