As part of this team, you'll work alongside a team of Banking specialists from across retail & commercial banking, and will be able to quickly build upon your existing industry knowledge and consultancy skills to develop your expertise. We will be looking to you to help lead project teams and develop the talent and insight in our community.

Your role
  • Lead project teams to successfully deliver engagements, deliverables and / or workstreams
  • Assess and document processes, identifying areas for improvement, design the target state and shape how it can be achieved using technology
  • Translate business requirements into functional design for enabling technology solutions. Work directly with architecture and development teams to ensure functionality delivers business outcomes
  • Manage key internal and client stakeholders and effectively demonstrate core project and people management skills
  • Help establish guidelines and ways of working for project delivery, through both waterfall and various agile methodologies
  • Support clients throughout the whole project lifecycle activities including project planning, requirements gathering, process definition, solution design and build, acceptance testing and go-live
  • Work within diverse teams to deliver measurable business outcomes to quality and timescales
  • Build effective relationships with peer-level stakeholders across all business workstreams including Operations, Risk and IT
  • Contribute to business development work, including taking our key propositions to market through pre-sales, bid preparation and client presentations
  • Participate fully within Deloitte to assist the growth of the digital banking practice and the Industry Solutions division including supporting the firm's commitment to creating a more diverse and inclusive culture

Location: London with occasional domestic and international travel

The role is to be worked on a full time basis
Your professional experience
You will have:
  • Proven delivery experience gained within a leading bank or consulting firm
  • A track record of high performance and success in complex and high impact roles
  • Been part of at least two project lifecycles in either a functional delivery lead/ project management function within an banking environment or delivery experience of at least one core banking application; for example; Temenos, Mambu, Finastra, nCino etc in a functional capacity
  • Significant experience of banking process and technology change in areas such as:
oCommercial and wholesale banking and/or retail banking
oCore banking and digital platform transformation
  • Experience in leading teams or workstreams within a wider complex banking core platform transformation programme in a lead/ scrummaster capacity
  • Some specific banking product knowledge across commercial or retail banking such as; lending, payments, trade finance etc
  • The ability to identify, triage and articulate the impact of risks, and suggested mitigations for risks that arise on a project
  • Good understanding of key banking business processes across the value chain or at least in one domain
  • Enterprise or solution architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
  • Appreciation of emerging technology and trends in banking and financial services
  • Exceptional communication and client management skills

  • Industry certifications such as BCS, Prince 2, PMP among others
