Macquarie Asset Management, Business Analyst/Associate
Work within the team as a business analyst/associate and you will be a key member of the team responsible for developing new products (such as new infrastructure fund offerings) and capabilities as well as third party acquisitions. Your responsibilities will require you to:
- build and run financial models and associated analysis for potential acquisitions as well as new product development
- conduct desktop research on sector themes, growth opportunities and potential acquisitions
- work with senior investment professionals to pursue new products, potential acquisitions and assist with due diligence
- as part of bringing new products to market, develop strategic direction and analyse portfolio construction, monitor financial and operational performance, and identify potential improvements
You will have strong numeracy and financial modelling skills, and experience with complex mergers and acquisitions at an investment bank or management consultancy, or private equity investment management preferably in diversified businesses or financial services. Alternatively, diversified infrastructure, natural capital or the energy transition would be of interest.
You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be a proactive and resilient individual and you will be degree-educated. You will possess strong interpersonal skills which will give you the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
An ability to think laterally, independently problem solve, drive initiatives and project manage, while working cohesively as part of a larger team, are all key characteristics required for this role. A high level of IT literacy with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills is necessary.
