To take cohorts from the start of their studies through to qualification. To deliver the training materials in multiple formats and act as the student’s primary point of contact within the Financial Adviser School during their studies, whilst ultimately working towards delivering excellent pass rates.

About the role

  • To coordinate regularly with QFAS operations and ensure cohorts are on track, have all required resource and communicate, discuss and assess individual students progress.
  • Report to Head of Training and regularly review and assess the programmes and material.
  • Communicate with recruitment regarding placement status of individuals
  • To deliver blended learning activities to students to support their learning in relation to adviser skills, business skills, technical knowledge and soft skills.
  • Assess the learning of Students on the programme and provide them with appropriate feedback
  • Deliver face to face and online learning events to students.
  • Drive the development of the online virtual classroom and website for The IFA School
  • Provide feedback and coaching to students throughout the programme to further develop their skills and ensure they have awareness of their strengths and development areas
  • Ensure that training materials and associated documents (e.g. course profiles, session plans, slides, and assessment materials) are up to date and relevant for all training and assessment activity.
  • Ensure relevant learning material is uploaded onto the online portal to support students through the programme
  • Identify alternative learning materials which could be used to develop students and implement solutions that can be utilised by the team.
  • Maintain and develop own technical knowledge and trainer skills.
  • To undertake projects as and when required, to support the needs of the business or to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Training delivery, presentation and public speaking.
  • Plan and prepare training and/or presentations.

About you

Essential:

  • Relevant Training Qualifications
  • Commitment to progress to level 6 if not already qualified
  • Either experience in giving advice and or training Financial Advisers
  • Must have a good working knowledge of regulatory issues, UK taxation system, financial services products and associated compliance requirements affecting the retail distribution sector

Desirable:

  • E-Learning initiatives
  • Working with external learning suppliers
  • Experience of training ifs DiPFA programme
  • Experience of providing support to team(s) of financial advisers.
