Learning & Development Manager, EMEA - S&P Global Platts

The Team: Reporting into the Head of Content Programs, the candidate will be joining a collaborative, global team that focuses on implementing change and getting things done. The team prides itself on being pillars of support to the internal operations of Platt's Content Group.

Key Partners: You will work in close partnership with the Learning & Development Manager, Asia Pac; Learning & Development Manager Americas; and the Director of Global Energy Education & Training (both based in the US). In addition, this person will partner closely with the People Team and Corporate L&D.

Key Stakeholders: Global Head of Pricing & Market Insight; Global Commodity Sector Heads; Regional Heads of Commodities in EMEA; Regional Head of News in EMEA.

The Impact: This role is charged with the management and delivery of Platts' core programs to include the Graduate Program (Commodity Associate Program), Manager in Transition Workshop (pre-manager training program) and mandatory technical training for the Platts content group in EMEA. This role will be instrumental in driving a development culture for the Content population in EMEA.

What's in it for you: The L&D Manager, EMEA has a key role in influencing the leadership of the content group and has a high profile within the Content Operations Group. Additionally, this role will have visibility across Platts and S&P Global. There may be scope in the future for this role to expand cross-functionally across Platts EMEA.

Responsibilities:
This key leadership role manages talent programs and designs and delivers technical learning/training solutions across all commodities in EMEA.
  • Manage talent programs in EMEA including the:
    • Graduate Rotational Program (Commodity Associate Program), which includes participating in selection, onboarding, coaching, facilitating of placement upon completion, managing budget and metrics and continuous improvement of the program
    • Manager Transition Workshop (manager training programs)
    • Summer Internship Programme for EMEA
  • Work with the regional management team to develop an annual strategy for technical learning
  • Assess new training development needs across the pricing and news groups and lead the development, re-design and implementation of existing and new training
  • Identifies what resources will be utilized to meet training and development needs
  • This individual will drive active utilization of training roadmaps for all staff in EMEA in order to contribute to a strong professional development culture across the Content division.
  • Advocate wider learning across content, promoting the sharing of knowledge and learning across the organization
  • Help manage on-line course library that is relevant to Pricing and Market Insight divisions
  • Work with HR to ensure our Leaders are strengthened and keep a track of Management/Leadership Essential training undertaken
  • Coach and mentor EMEA Content employees
  • Develop and report on metrics to measure each program/training initiative and report metrics to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure training documentation is maintained

Basic Qualifications:
  • Previous Program Management experience
  • Strong ability to deliver and execute learning plans/programs
  • Previous experience as learning expert in a regulated business is essential
  • Strong relationship building skills across different geographies
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to work with and influence a diverse set of global senior level stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening, written and presentation)
  • Proven experience of influencing change and driving new processes and behaviors
  • Strong Influence and collaboration skills - able to bring diverse, groups together and get buy-in
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Access, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Paint
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior exposure of having worked in price reporting, news or analytics
  • Ability to facilitate group working sessions and deliver training to various audiences
  • Previous experience of learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools e.g. Articulate 360
