Lead Digital Communications Executive

The Lead Digital Communications Executive will work within the Schroders Communications Team, concentrating on supporting communications across all digital channels, including web and social media applications and other related digital platforms.

They will report to the Senior Digital Communications Manager and work with them on supporting individuals across a range of business functions, geographies and communications channels to ensure consistent application of best practice and adherence to global business strategy.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Drive development of the global social media strategy across a range of business functions, geographies and channels
• Drive development of global employee advocacy strategy with key user groups
• Provide strategic advice and guidance for key digital comms teams across the business, promoting best practice and alignment with the Schroders approach
• Establish KPIs and monitor performance of social media activities
• Assess, appoint and manage key social media vendor relationships, review their performance and effectiveness, liaise with Legal, Info Sec and Procurement as necessary
• Seek out research and networks across industries to inform Schroders social media strategy with fresh ideas and best practice
• To support the devolved publishing model, provide training on and guidance to colleagues through established programmes and on demand

Tactical

• Take responsibility for day-to-day management for a range of social media channels across the Schroders brand
• Lead the day-to-day management for the MoneyLens social media channels
• Work closely with key content creators within the business to ensure appropriate content is available for distribution
• Provide MI and key metrics and measurement of the social media programme to assess both ROI and fulfil Risk reporting requirements e.g. risk assessment reports using social listening platforms
• Provide insight and intelligence to key senior stakeholders on specific campaigns and news events
• Manage and update the Social Media Policy and Guidelines, promote them across the business and provide training when needed
• Comply with all training and monitoring requested by Schroders e.g. AML training

Key Skills and Competencies

• Must have strong strategic and analytical experience to assess opportunities for development and demonstrating value in new initiatives
• Must have proven track record of delivering significant change in a social media programme/strategy with clear ROI
• Must have wider knowledge and insight relating to social media trends in terms of content and technology to inform Schroders plans
• Must have at least 5 years concentrated experience of working in social media and be focused on providing strategic value, not only tactical support
• Must be highly skilled user of key social media platforms including but not exclusively Hootsuite, e.g. Brandwatch for social listening
• Must have working knowledge of Adobe suite, including but not exclusively video and photo editing
• Must have working knowledge of CMS for editing corporate website e.g. Episerver
• Must be confident to edit content and descriptions supplied by the business where appropriate
• Must have good communication skills and be clear when briefing others and being briefed e.g. hosting strategy workshops, understanding needs from around the business
• Must have strong attention to detail, be diligent at record keeping, organised and able to multi-task as the requirements are often concurrent with competing deadlines
• Must be good team player and able to co-ordinate well with Comms team colleagues
• Must have flexible working hours as will be required to post content and monitor traffic outside normal office hours from time to time e.g. corporate results
