Junior Project Manager in the Business Change team for the retail arm of a global asset management firm providing pensions, investment and retirement products.

Our client is a successful global financial services company with an enviable profile and reputation. Their UK business is investing significantly in change programmes across their retail business. They are hiring a Junior Project / Change Manager to help support on projects and change iniatives within their retail investment business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • working with the key stakeholders to agree scope and timeline for delivery of projects
  • confirming scope and timelines, producing project plans, and agreeing key project milestones
  • securing resources from impacted teams
  • facilitating solutions and ensuring timely delivery of all deliverables / products.
  • working closely with technology delivery teams and wider business teams
  • managing Sponsor and Stakeholder relationships
  • managing risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and escalate if required
  • producing progress reports and other management information as appropriate.

The successful candidate will have some previous experience in project management, business change or project delivery, although this can be part of a wider role i.e. client service, operations. Knowledge of retail investments would be highly advantageous, although this person can come from wider financial services. The candidate will also need to be a self-starter who is able to work effectively in a changing environment, have strong communication and relationship building skills, experience of engaging/communicating with senior stakeholders and the ability to deliver to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment.

This role would represent an excellent opportunity for someone with some transferable experience who is looking to move into a formal project management or business change role.
