The Intern will form part of the VP/CAO's front office team and will provide support to the delivery of a number of programmes across HR and Corporate service specifically and provide ad-hoc administrational support as required.

Typically the intern will:
  • Contribute as a project team member to the execution, implementation and monitoring of a number of projects each year;
  • Carry out other relevant tasks assigned by Corporate Services Programme Manager and assigned matrix managers
  • Under the guidance of a more senior member of the VP/CAO HR & CS front office team, communicate with other internal units in the Bank, client counterparts and other stakeholders;
  • No budgetary responsibility;
  • No direct reports;

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Corp services programme manager the intern will:

  • Providing general administrative support to project/programme managers, including populating excel files, MS Project and other project documentation with data points captured in project planning workshops (under the supervision of PM)
  • Capturing and typing up project meeting minutes under the supervision of meeting secretariat
  • Capturing the outputs of workshops and circulating them to the project teams under the supervision of project/programme managers
  • Supporting project/programme managers in general administrative tasks such as capturing minor amendments to project documentation
  • Carrying out minor cleansing of data sets for visualisation
  • Creating data visualisations using Microsoft excel and where capability exists Tableau
  • Supporting Project and programme managers in the creation of power point presentations
  • Working with the internal communications department and project/programme managers to make minor amendments to communication documentation (FAQ's etc.)
  • Work with the internal communications department to structure messages related to change programmes

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or final year undergraduate student (Business, Finance or STEM related degree preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Quantitative/numerical skills are advantageous.
  • Evidence of outstanding academic achievements.
  • Computer literacy, conversant with Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, to deadlines and under time pressure.
