Our client, a leading global asset manager, is seeking an Institutional Client Relationship Specialist with strong relationship management skills and an existing strong knowledge of the UK institutional landscape.

Primary responsibilities:
• Builds and manages a book of client relationships
• Responsible for independently managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of clients
• Manage the client review cycle with a focus on maximising client retention and identifying cross-selling opportunities; working with the sales team to develop these opportunities
• Building annual relationship plans for individual client base
• Proactively communicating matters pertinent to the client’s portfolio to both the client and their advisors
• Oversight of and involvement in complex activity around client base

Required skills:
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with Institutional clients such as local government pension funds
• Experience and knowledge of the UK institutional market including a good understanding of consultants
• Experience of working with segregated client accounts ideally
• Highly developed interpersonal, communication and networking skills
• The ability to understand and communicate complex investment ideas
• Problem-solving skills and an ability to coach on problem-solving
• Strong financial knowledge and demonstrable knowledge of the investment management business and investment solutions.
• Knowledge of European regulatory and compliance frameworks
• University degree or equivalent
