We are currently seeking another professional, dynamic and detail oriented individual to join the team as an Institutional Sales Associate. Ideally candidates will have a demonstrable interest in investment management, with prior experience in the industry. Candidates must be highly driven, pro-active and organised. They must also be able to work independently and as part of a team and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Sales Support & Client Service:
Responsible for supporting the UK sales team members (alongside a colleague in a similar role) with business development needs including:
o Answering the phones on behalf of sales team when they are unavailable and handling incoming client or prospect requests efficiently and effectively.
o Liaising with subject matter experts across the firm to address sales team, client or prospect needs and requests.
o Sending out regular strategy/fund updates to clients for reporting purposes on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. And being responsible for sourcing the information beforehand.
o Co-ordinating the dissemination of pertinent information on strategies across the team.
o Maintain contact and business/pipeline opportunities in the firm’s CRM system and help maintain and reconcile database information across various systems.
o Manage & co-ordinate (in conjunction with the team) prospective client on-site visits at offices across the firm.
o Conduct competitor analysis to support the sales effort.
o Conduct research on prospect firms to help with the overall sales effort in target markets.
o Work with sales team members in preparation of materials & background information ahead of client & prospect meetings.
o Work alongside Sales Directors to build out efficient & effective UK regional marketing days with client & prospects.
Client Relationship Management (CRM) system:
Work closely with the head of the team & become an expert in our CRM system (Salesforce) in order to build, maintain and deliver correct & effective reporting.
Drive efficient and effective use of the salesforce system across the UK sales team & be responsible for supporting the team with prospect & client input and meeting notes where required.
Work closely with sales, service and messaging teams to ensure salesforce campaigns are built effectively and information is up to date.
Knowledge of the financial industry preferred (not mandatory)
Strong experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
