Our client is an international bank providing banking services including traditional corporate transactions, investment banking and trading.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Undertaking control testing in accordance with the bank’s internal control methodology
  • Documenting the testing of controls in-line with the annual control program and presenting to the business accordingly
  • Recommending enhancements to the process to ensure the effectiveness of our testing and residual risk assessment
  • Completion of control effectiveness testing surrounding various regulatory schemes, including, but not limited to CHAPS and LINK
  • Responding to incidents by supporting the Risk Partners in identifying control gaps/failings through the root cause analysis process
  • Report and escalate all material control findings, and track through to closure
  • Provide executive and detailed summaries/analysis on control data
  • Giving guidance to the business and senior management on internal control findings and possible improvements to close gaps to reduce risk of loss
  • Provide training, awareness and communications to various business units as needed
  • Provide wider operational risk management consultation, support and advice

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Have a background in Information Technology, specifically IT audit, IT risk assessments and IT controls
  • Experienced in delivery and facilitation of control assurance
  • Knowledgeable in regulated payment schemes such as CHAPS and LINK
  • Have a good understanding of our business operation & culture
  • Be able to demonstrate strong communications skills and have an ability to lead conversation to ensure understanding
  • Comfortable challenging and influencing stakeholders
  • Able to work on their own initiative and enjoy the responsibility of delivering outcomes
  • Have strong interpersonal skills, be a team player with a positive, supportive and engaged approach to change
