Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

The post holder will be responsible for the financial management of c£60m budget, workforce and people planning, recruitment and staff engagement, and learning and development. They will be provide the management information that will report progress of the department performance and the KPI's that we distribute internally and to our key stakeholders.

Person Specification:
Ability / Expertise

• Management and oversight of the c£40m headcount budget for the technology department.
• Management and oversight of the c£14m Opex budget for the technology department.
• Reporting of actuals against budget. MI for technology heads of department.
• Management of the department training budget.

• Responsible for the departments MI and reporting.
• Responsible for producing and reporting all KPI's for the technology department.
• Responsible for the department KRI's.
• Responsible for creating and distributing department communications (newsletters)
• Coordinate and report on time recording across the department,

• Responsible for the coordination of the graduate scheme.
• Management and coordination of any department apprentice schemes.
• Responsible for the coordination and reporting of the department structure and reshaping.

Communication and Events
• Coordinate quarterly department town hall events.
• Assist in coordination of department wide in work events.
• Coordinate any after work forums or technology gatherings for the department.


• Experience of leading on business performance and planning for a large technology department.
• Experience of manging a large complex technology budget.
• Excellent skills in producing MI for business performance.
