Human Resources Assistant

Tasks
  • Issuing offers of employment and coordinating the onboarding process
  • Managing the pre-employment and reference screening process in conjunction with our external provider
  • Supporting the Visa Sponsorship License process, providing advice to managers and employees, monitoring the process and coordinating documentation as required
  • Managing the probationary process and associated meetings and documentation and conducting stay interviews with employees
  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate data on the HR information management system and producing regular and ad hoc reports as required
  • Managing maternity and paternity leave and pay and conducting maternity meetings
  • Producing general HR documentation such as amendments to contracts, references, etc.
  • Processing leavers including calculating holiday allowance and related paperwork and conducting exit interviews
  • First line support for employees, senior managers and key stakeholders on HR policies and procedures
  • Supporting HR Manager in managing disciplinary, grievance, capability and other issues
  • Administration of company benefits and pension
  • Payroll preparation including: starters, leavers, benefits information and employee changes
  • Providing employees with information relating to pay, benefits, pension and Family Friendly policies

Qualifications
  • BA/BSc in a business or HR related subject
  • CIPD qualified to Level 5 or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years' previous experience in a dedicated HR administrative role in a UK Company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with French and Italian desirable
  • Highly organised and efficient with the ability to define priorities and self-manage
  • Available for travel on occasion to Belgium, Luxembourg, UK and Italy if required
  • Confident in liaising with senior management and providing HR advice to employees and managers alike
