Exciting opportunity to join a start-up FinTech business as their Head of Strategy and Business Development - FinTech. Product development role focused on consumer financial retail sectors. Cryptocurrency / Commodities / Precious Metals. Based in London.

The Head of Strategy and Business Development will be responsible for developing strategies and providing strategic insight to drive the positive and sustainable growth of the FinTech's business through continually scanning the appropriate market place that they chooses to operate within, identifying opportunities in line with the overall business strategy and working with the team to realise these opportunities.

The role:

  • Accountable for identifying, creating and developing new high value business opportunities that align to business goals and strategic direction in consumer financial retail sectors, cryptocurrency and related fields
  • Responsible for driving awareness and adoption of these new opportunities and capabilities to support the growth and profitability
  • Proactively seek out and develop partnerships with the appropriate organisations to identify and create new business relationships and opportunities
  • Drive innovation and thought leadership in the business by ensuring cutting edge knowledge is maintained
  • Work with the marketing team to develop multi-media marketing plans to support the opportunities
  • Continuously develop an external network of key industry individuals & groups to ensure the firm is well placed capitalise on any market changes or opportunities
  • Work with the Head of Operations to ensure there is suitable capability to realise the new business opportunities
  • Continually scan the market place and keep up to date with trends in the relevant industries that the current business strategy is aligned to
  • Act as an ambassador and thought leader to promote the business through mediums such as industry conferences, associations and the relevant media channels

Profile

The person:

  • Successful experience within FinTech services is desirable
  • Significant experience with a demonstrated track record of business development and client relationship management, preferably in 'start-up' organisation, in consumer financial retail sectors is essential
  • Degree/MSc/MBA degree or equivalent in a relevant subject is essential
  • Expertise in a broad range of technology & investment solutions, products and services is essential
  • Successful track record of implementing innovative methods and techniques, related to the sales and relationship management disciplines, to drive strong business results.
  • Demonstrated success in working collaboratively across the organisation to achieve results.
