Accountable for the portfolio management and investment strategies of the open policyholder assets, namely Unit Linked funds open to new business in the Savings and Investment business unit. This includes the investment strategy, portfolio management, investment outcomes, asset and fund structure, investment mandates and sustainability.
  • Design and develop best in class investment solutions to support Open Savings and investment Business deliver its customer outcomes and management actions 
  • Manage the portfolio of Unit Linked assets for the Open business units to ensure they continue to deliver optimal investment returns and good customer outcomes in addition to regulatory compliance. 
  • Design and deliver investment and asset solutions to the Open business unit to support new business growth 
  • Pro-actively develop and propose fund restructuring and rationalization solutions to ensure the open business remains operationally efficient 
  • Lead and coordinate strategic projects related to open policyholder assets across all stakeholders 
  • Manage policyholder investment guidelines and mandates reflecting fund investment objectives, regulatory requirements and constraints and operational setup 
  • Support marketing team to deliver investment content for externally facing thought material. 
  • Ensure that the Group is made aware of market developments in terms of product launches from UK and European peers. 
  • Partner with the Open business unit as the lead relationship manager / business partner

Experience Required

  • Financial markets experience, particularly in a front office asset management or Investment Proposition role.
  • Understands the key drivers of cost and value to deliver superior commercial outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to create and engage others in a compelling vision.
  • Demonstrates high technical proficiency in terms of quantitative analysis and understanding of financial markets
  • Deep understanding of Insurance companies and investment management market place.
  • Good understanding of investment cycle and impact on performance.
  • In-depth knowledge of investment markets, investment strategy and fund management methodologies.
  • Good level of investment operations understanding. 
  • Able to develop and maintain communication and relationships at all levels of the Group across different business channels.
