The Opportunity:

  • Newly created and potentially career defining role working for an ambitious and innovative boutique Asset Manager with exciting growth plans
  • With offices in two major financial centres, this role will ideally be situated in London, but could also be located in Paris (N.B. YOU MUST BE A FLUENT FRENCH SPEAKER)
  • Reporting to the Head of Business Development you will be responsible for the full marketing mix and for developing the marketing function of the company, thereby playing a central role in managing the day-to-day marketing activity for the Sales teams in London and Paris
  • This is a brownfield site opportunity, offering the opportunity to build and continuously evolve a fit for purpose and scalable marketing function for this exciting firm, who are willing to take your lead and are open to embracing technology to improve efficiencies etc.
  • Supporting predominantly the UK Sales efforts, you will also have oversight of the more established France focused marketing activities, as well as in the future the Marketing activities across non-French speaking Europe
  • You will take ownership for developing, improving, and updating all marketing materials across a range of funds and asset classes to promote the product range to various sales channels (institutional clients, private banks, asset allocators, retail clients etc) across Europe
  • These marketing materials will include sales aids, pitch books, presentations, interviews and videos with portfolio managers, as well as input into RFPs, contribution to Thought Leadership pieces etc.
  • Look to take a creative approach with the aim of clearly differentiating my client's propositions from those of their competitors
  • In partnership with distribution and investment teams seek to develop and refine messaging and materials as required. Look to create an identifiable and consistent style of written content synonymous with the brand of the company
  • Create, manage, and deliver an effective marketing schedule and manage the marketing budget and spend
  • Work to drive a regular flow of content within an agreed framework, ensuring that content is of a very high standard
  • Adhere to appropriate processes to ensure that materials and content are produced within regulatory guidelines, managing the production process through the likes of design and compliance
  • Proactively manage and update the company website and social media pages, and look for innovative ways to improve messaging and reach
  • Coordinate the communication of the company with our PR agencies in France and UK

Your Experience:

  • You will possess a strong record of academic achievement and have a clear talent for the written word!
  • It is essential that you can demonstrate fluency in both English and French
  • Possess strong marketing experience from the Asset Management industry, with experience across the full marketing mix
  • Be at the stage in your career where you're motivated to work within a strategic BUT hands-on role
  • Possess excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to a range of client audiences and channels, including financial institutions, intermediaries, and private investors, via a wide range of content types
  • Solid understanding of (and interest in) financial markets, with a strong knowledge of fixed income and alternative investment strategies
  • Comfortable with regulatory requirements, nuances performance measurement and attribution analysis
  • Proficient IT Skills, including advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements needed when producing marketing material and financial promotions
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
  • Ability to use own initiative and work effectively alone or as a member of the wider team
  • Good attention to detail
  • Responsible for managing workload against a backdrop of changing priorities
  • Fluent in French and English (verbal and written)
