Our client, an impressive prominent single-family office, is looking to attract an accomplished Investment Operations Manager coming from either a family office or a hedge fund environment to drive and further develop their investment operations function.
This is a newly created position reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, requiring proven leadership experience to lead a small Operations team responsible for all non-investment related functions requiring candidates to be flexible, pragmatic and solutions oriented.
In this role you will have overall responsibility for all non-investment functions across multi-asset long term investments to include the investment administration of public & private market investments throughout their investment life cycle, manage and oversee the investment execution and cash management working closely with the investment team, custodian and external managers.
You will also have overall responsibility for Performance reporting and risk monitoring ensuring compliance with internal investment restrictions and corporate governance requirements are met. The team is also responsible for the production of monthly financial management accounts for the investment portfolio and also provide support to the group finance function in preparation of company and group statutory accounts.
The Investment Operations Manager will also take a lead in overseeing and managing the outsourced service providers including the custodian and administrator. There are also opportunities to assess current processes and deliver process improvements. To be considered, candidates will demonstrate an engaging leadership style with presence and credibility. Advanced computer skills are essential such as Excel to include complex VLOOKUP's. pivot tables, macros to include VBA & SQL. Prior experience of building processes and systems using Excel & SQL is a must.
