The High-Tech Investigations (HTI) team has the responsibility for the development and provision of digitally-focused investigations ("investigations") and supporting processes. This includes digital and mobile forensics, eDiscovery, network and log-based investigations and open-source investigations. HTI works across all BU functions and provides guidance on what evidence can be sought to prove or disprove investigative hypothesis to key stakeholders, which include: Human Resource, Financial Crime & Compliance, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Enterprise Information Security and technology functions.

  • To ensure compliance to the Group Code of Conduct and Prudential UK & Europe People Policies.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customer outcomes and a reduction in Prudential UK's operational risk.
  • To set direction with the development and delivery of a long-term strategy for HTI in conjunction with other companywide initiatives.
  • To lead all aspects of the HTI function from an operational perspective, including:
  • The line management of a small team of investigators and oversight of their personal development.
  • Stakeholder and budget management
  • Establishing, maintaining and developing relationships with key vendors who provide software and solutions to HTI
  • Management and oversight of improvement projects
  • Ensuring compliance to policy and procedure through regular QA/QC activity
  • Design and refine policies and procedures for BAU activities undertaken by HTI
  • The provision of important moral and ethical foundations for the team
  • To operate within all relevant jurisdictional requirements and assuring guidelines are adhered to at all times, including those from law enforcement, regulatory requirements, industry standards and best practice.
  • To lead in the delivery of Digital Forensics and eDiscovery services whilst acting as a trusted adviser
  • To advise management at all levels (including the Board) in respect of progress of HTI casework

Knowledge/ Desirable Skills:

  • ACPO Good Practice Guidelines for Electronic Evidence
  • Theories, principles and practices of case and digital investigative work
  • EDRM Model
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for a company operating in the Financial sector
  • Exposure or knowledge of Cloud Forensics.
  • Exposure to or knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: EnScripts, Perl, C#, Python, SQL, R.


Experience in the IT, Digital Forensics or eDiscovery arena and minimum 2 years' experience of leading a function/team.

Some experience of carrying out investigations within an enterprise environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Computer / Digital Forensics degree or certifications
