Reporting to the M&G Prudential Director of Financial Crime Compliance and MLRO, you will be responsible for the governance and oversight of an effective financial crime compliance framework across the M&G Prudential Group of companies. Acting as Deputy MLRO where appropriate you will be ensuring M&G Prudential fully complies with all anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing regulations and other financial crime legislation.

You will:
  • Establish an effective financial crime compliance framework, overseeing the development of financial crime compliance governance arrangements
  • Establish, maintain and monitor financial crime controls in support of the business strategy
  • Coordinate the assessment of financial crime risks (ABC, Fraud, AML and CTF, Sanctions and Tax Evasion)
  • Monitor and assess M&G Prudential's Risk Appetite Statement and KRI's, ensuring matters that fall outside of appetite are identified, escalated to senior management and remediated
  • Assess the impact of emerging regulation and legislation and oversee its implementation across all work streams
  • Deputise for the Director of Financial Crime Compliance/MLRO as appropriate making decisions and recommendations on complex issues
  • Prepare and submit financial crime management information to senior management and relevant Committees and Boards including the annual MLRO and financial crime reports
  • Support the M&G Prudential Financial Crime Compliance team in the day to day management and functionality of financial crime risks and controls as appropriate
  • Provide and demonstrate sufficient oversight of financial crime policies, processes, systems and controls in operation throughout the M&G Prudential Group of Companies and of those operated by key third party suppliers
  • Liaise with Law enforcement in the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports to the NCA or other law enforcement to comply with the legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Support and provide SME input into all types of Financial Crime training
  • Establish a credible profile as a senior member of the financial crime team

You will ideally be a Financial Crime Compliance Manager or Deputy MLRO with an all round knowledge of Financial Crime risk, experience in implementing, or supporting the implementation of, a financial crime framework and understanding of the 3 lines of defence.
