A blue chip multinational data centre technology business is looking for a Head of Finance. The Head of Finance will report to the Group FD but will also have a dotted line day to day into the Managing Director. This Head of Finance position is more of a 'mini FD' role as it has full ownership of the P&L for a specific division.
The Head of Finance will manage the team of 6, lead all of the core finance processes as well as business partner with the senior management team including the Managing Director to drive critical commercial decisions. This is a brilliant training ground for someone looking to progress from FC / HoF through to FD over the next few years as it provides the breadth and level of responsibility required to make that step. Day to day the role won't be too hands on which leaves this individual plenty of time to really drive commercial value.
The ideal profile would be a practice trained accountant (ACA / ACCA) with strong post qualified experience in a similar line management position. Exposure to the technology, property or heavy industries sectors would probably work best but individuals from other large, complex, fast paced organisations would also be considered.
