Our client is a leading player in the Private Equity sector. Due to the continued growth of the business, an experienced Head of FP&A is sought to help develop the FP&A function, to provide senior management with quality MI and analysis on both costs and revenue. The chosen candidate will have requisite experience in a similar role from the asset management or financial services sector.

Due to the continued growth of the business, an experienced Head of FP&A is sought to help develop the FP&A function, to provide senior management with quality MI and analysis on both costs and revenue. The chosen candidate will have requisite experience in a similar role from the asset management or financial services sector.

The Role:

  • Preparation of 3 year global business plans, by investment strategy and by support function.
  • Prepare 10 year plans for strategic overview and appraisal of current new initiatives, as well as those proposed over the next 3 years. Scenario planning showing deviations from the base case as a result of changes in market conditions, lower / higher success rates of certain products, loss / gain of significant clients, etc
  • Work with the Human Resources Team and Business Heads to collate and understand compensation expectations and requests to be incorporated in the budget / forecasts.
  • Deep dive annual budget process including review of resource requirements, improving efficiencies and assessment of previous measures put in place. Quarterly reforecasting at higher level with reporting to budget holders of expenditure. Requesting and building an understanding of explanations for any unexpected material deviations from budget.
  • Partnership Board reporting of actual results, current forecast, budgets, 3 year plans, 10 year plans, detailed product plans for each investment strategy, KPIs, strategic project costs and project progress.
  • Fundraising analysis including pipeline deals and conclude what sensitivities this has on impact on current and previous revenue projections.
  • Periodic activity based costing exercises to complete a full understanding of process across the organisation.
  • Help build out further management information consistent to industry best practice.

Requirements:

  • You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in managing/leading an FP&A / MI / Business Partnering function
  • Experience gained from either Private Equity / Asset Management / Financial Services
  • Able to lead and influence others
  • Have excellent all round communication skills, able to liaise well to senior management
