Natixis UK is looking for a(n) Head of Central Compliance

The incumbent will have responsibility for managing the activities of the Central Compliance team in London. This will involve developing relevant compliance policies and procedures as well as coordinating and monitoring the effectiveness of Central Compliance support for London Branch within the framework of the overall Natixis compliance strategy and the Compliance strategy set by the UK Head of Compliance. The incumbent is required to establish a strong relationship not only with the Head Office Central Compliance staff, but relevant London management, the UK Human Resources Department and other areas that interact with the Central Compliance team on a regular basis.
As the Head of Central Compliance, the incumbent will be required to deliver sound regulatory advice in relation to the Central Compliance team's areas of responsibility as set out below, as well as taking a proactive role in identifying potential compliance weaknesses and initiating measures to rectify them. The incumbent shall be responsible for providing that effective compliance policies and procedures relating to the relevant areas of responsibility are drafted and implemented. This will require analysis of both UK and Head Office requirements. They will also be responsible for developing, in conjunction with the PCU team, effective routine monitoring is in place for the areas of responsibility, that an effective training programme is in place covering relevant Natixis Global requirements as well as specific UK regulatory ones, and will be responsible for the collation, review and production of routine compliance MI for the UK Compliance team.
In addition, the incumbent will act as the backup for the Private Side Compliance team in London during periods of absence and is expected to have a strong working knowledge of all Private Side businesses and compliance requirements. They will act as the UK contact point for queries from the UK Takeover Panel or other regulators in relation to relevant reporting requirements.

The incumbent may also be required to represent compliance on internal and external committees and steering groups from time to time, as agreed with the UK Head of Compliance.
In depth knowledge of UK regulatory regime and FCA expectations, with particular emphasis on COBS and regulatory reporting.
Good knowledge of European and other regulatory regimes as they impact on the UK.
Previous investment banking compliance experience, and thorough knowledge of a broad range of investment banking products and services.
Working as a business compliance officer in an investment banking environment covering Private Side business lines and products, such as M&A, lending, coverage.
Management experience managing small specialist compliance teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to understand complex regulations and provide that the requirements are implemented in a simple and easy to follow manner, and that advice is practical and measured.

Excellent analytical skills and sound judgement even when working under time constraints
The ability to work with people at all levels across different cultures and build consensus and strong relationships.
