Head of CTLA UK Loan Operations

Role Purpose

  • The jobholder will be required to manage and oversee all operational processes across Loan Agency and Loan Administration from an end to end perspective ensuring close and regular dialogue with our City Offices in Malaysia and Kolkata. Responsibility will include accurate and efficient set up of transaction static in Loan IQ for all new transactions and complex amendments based on the facility agreement, preparation and management of all drawdowns, rollovers, margin adjustments, repricing and repayments on complex transactions as well as acting as the local escalation point for Global & Commercial Banking Relationship Managers, Client Service Managers, Finance and Origination teams.
  • This is a newly created high profile role that requires strong leadership, influencing and organisational skills, leading a team that liaise directly with the offshore operational City Offices as well as high profile clients, relationship managers and other stakeholders.

  • Take ownership of any action plans or remediation exercises and work with internal stakeholders to ensure any performance issues are resolved effectively and efficiently

  • Keep abreast of industry developments , help identify technology improvements that could enrich our process and benefit our clients
  • Provide advice and guidance to the team and to our City Offices where required and act as a local escalation point for local management
  • Ensure ongoing training and development of staff
  • Preparation of specific MI relating to onshore & offshore Operational performance
  • Minimise operational, reputational and financial risk as measured through operational risk assessments , audit standards and Operational losses

Role Dimensions

  • CTLA (Corporate Trust & Loan Agency) operates in both the Debt Capital Markets and the Bank Debt Market (principally the Syndicated Loan Market) and manages a mix of business generation, documentation, operation, and relationship management/customer interface with a broad spectrum of globally based clients. Regular contact will be maintained with a very wide variety of both internal and external customers in a number of locations. The diversity of both customer and location requires the jobholder to be flexible, proactive and up to date on current market standards and practices.
