City based Fintech seek a hands on Production Support Manager, supporting a busy Fixed Income Bonds desk. Technical wise its Geneos, Unix, Scripting, FIX Connectivity, SQL and XML. You MUST have an automation mind-set, hence scripting is essential. With a good understanding of network fundamentals i.e. LAN & WAN topologies and protocols. Managing, mentoring and training a team of four Level 2 Production Support Analyst. This is a hand on lead role and MUST have demonstrable experience in a combined managerial and technical capacity. Managing staff. Proven thought leadership in process automation with demonstrable implementation skills. Geneos or other monitoring tools is beneficial. A team lead is sought who will provide direction and leadership within the Production Support Team. You will be a central point of contact between the business, technical and management colleagues. Ensuring open lines of communication at all times, especially during high profile activities and incident management. Provide 2nd line support services for client services and account management teams. Support external users of the API (XML/FIX/SOAP) interfaces. Provide networking and connectivity support. Monitoring system servers and ensuring appropriate monitoring is in place. Participate in global support meetings as requested.
