We are working with a leading private equity company who are looking for a Group Tax Assistant Manager to join their Tax team. This role will focus on assisting the Director of Taxation and ensuring all taxation matters are in accordance with legal requirements. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly coveted firm in a high visibility role.

This role will see the successful candidate providing effective support to the Director of Taxation and the Senior Taxation Adviser, by ensuring that all taxation matters are in accordance with internal procedures and legal requirements. Your responsibilities will be varied in nature and you will be pushed to take on new challenges.  Key to this role will be your ability to be dynamic and support across the tax department. This role will give you exceptional exposure within a top tier PE fund.

Role responsibilities:

  • Proactively managing Link 360 or equivalent.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with key members of the network, including with the tax compliance provider.
  • Overseeing preparation and ensuring submission of the PAYE Settlement Agreement.
  • Ensuring compliance requirements, CPD monitoring and training for the tax team is met.
  • Aiding and supporting the Director of Taxation and the Senior Taxation Adviser on the taxation aspects of group projects.
  • Providing support to the Group Tax Compliance Manager on the maintenance of group transfer pricing documentation and CbCr reporting requirements.  
  • Working with HR to monitor the payroll gateway with HMRC.
  • Provide AEOI reporting support.

Required Skills:

  • ATT qualified with a desire to start or complete the CTA qualification.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Capable of building relationships across Finance, HR and Tax teams and the wider business.
  • Ability to maintain working relationships with the external advisors.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to be a strong team player with a willingness to learn, develop and take responsibility.
