My client is a multinational, private equity backed fintech business with a successful growth story. They are looking to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager to help improve processes, controls and to run the financial reporting team. This is a $500m turnover business with operations globally an working towards IPO in a few years time so very much 'scale up' rather than 'start up'. The Financial Reporting Manager will report to the Finance Director and lead a team of at least 3 people initially with a strong likelihood the team will grow.
This Financial Reporting Manager position is an extremely important hire for the business. They are looking for someone who can coach and develop the team, proactively drive improvements in processes and controls and improve the quality of data and reporting available to the business.
The Financial Reporting Manager will require strong technical skills (IFRS), first rate financial reporting skills, consolidations experience, exposure to multicurrency environments and an aptitude for management. Existing management experience or at least supervisory experience in some capacity is essential.
The ideal profile would be an ACA/CA/ACCA qualified accountant (or equivalent) with an audit background and post-qualified experience. This role can be largely remote or at least very flexible. The offices are in London but most people only go in 1 day per week and others that live further afield come in 1-2 times per month. This can flex around the individual.
