We are recruiting for a hugely successful and well established asset manager with AUM of over £20bn. A new hire is sought to join a small Finance team to support senior team members with the group consolidation process. You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) with experience in the preparation of a group consolidation, from the financial services sector.

A new hire is sought to join a small Finance team to support senior team members with the group consolidation process. You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) with experience in the preparation of a group consolidation, from the financial services sector.

The Role

  • Supporting senior team members with the annual/semi-annual Group consolidation exercises with the aim of eventually taking ownership of the process.
  • Supporting senior team members with the global tax compliance with the aim of eventually taking ownership.
  • Supporting senior team members with managing the finance reporting processes for overseas subsidiaries.
  • Support ongoing automation efforts.
  • Working closely with other business functions within the organisation.
  • Liaising with relevant third-party service providers eg fund administrators, auditors etc on an adhoc basis.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders eg auditors, tax authorities and regulators etc on an adhoc basis.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant with post qualification experience of working in the finance industry. Experience of working in the asset management sector is a bonus but not absolutely essential.
  • Excellent understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP. US GAAP would be a bonus.
  • Experience of preparing a full set of financial statements, under IFRS/UK GAAP, from and ETB.
  • Good understanding of UK corporate, personal and indirect tax (VAT) regimes and willingness to learn.
