The role is "Global Market Solution Sales EMEA". The candidates will be focusing on originating and executing solution business out of Spain, Greece and/or Italy

Department overview:

Nomura's Global Markets Division handles client transactions for financial institutions, corporates, governments and investment funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in fixed income securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products. We have taken market-leading positions across the globe by leveraging the strength of our franchise, client relationships and technology. Role description:

The role is "Global Market Solution Sales EMEA". The candidates will be focusing on originating and executing solution business out of Spain, Greece and/or Italy. He/she would have access to a vast array of structured products: structured rates, structured credit, bespoke financing of any type of illiquid asset class (ranging from Commercial Real Estate performing and not Performing Loans, ABS, Bespoke receivables portfolios, Infrastructure loans) as well as distribution of QIS indices, Nomura issued Structured Notes and so on. The candidate will have access to any type of institutional client base within the region of coverage (insurances, banks, Asset Managers, Distributors, Financial Sponsors ) and will have the chance to drive the business opportunity in his own country of coverage.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

Essential

  • Basic experience in solution business and derivatives literate :
    • Focus on southern European European jurisdictions (such Spain, Greece, Italy and Portugal)
    • Solution Mindset approach not prodfuct driven but client focuses
  • Willingness to manage complex timelines, given that the business is deal driven, often against tight deadlines, and the role will involve working closely with the underwriting desk on execution/closing of transactions.
  • Articulate and able to communicate clearly, both in writing (e.g. credit committee memos) and verbally (e.g. client origination)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong Commercial mindset
  • Capacity to understand clearly client needs and focus towards providing a viable solution for the client
  • Own client network
  • Derivatives literate and able to work on complex solution transactions

Desirable

  • Exposure to more complex legal jurisdictions such as in Southern Europe or CEE
