One of our longest-standing clients, a Private Equity firm with over £20bn AUM, is seeking a new hire in their Finance team as a result of growth. One of the best roles in the market for a newly/recently qualified accountant, as the successful applicant will get equal exposure across the three core Finance elements, Fund Accounting, Portfolio Analysis and Financial Accounting. You must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

One of the best roles in the market for a newly/recently qualified accountant, as the successful applicant will get equal exposure across the three core Finance elements, Fund Accounting, Portfolio Analysis and Financial Accounting. You must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

The Role:

Fund Accounting:

  • Preparation of quarterly management accounts for an allocation of funds and associated reporting of financial information to clients
  • Preparation of statutory Financial Statements for an allocation of funds under UK and US GAAP and liaising with external auditors to ensure timely sign-off
  • Calculating fund calls and distributions and managing third party administrator to ensure these are distributed to investors on a timely basis
  • Supporting deal teams on investment transactions followed by timely and accurate accounting and administration in investment administration system (Investran)
  • Preparation of fund performance data reporting as required by investors and client services teams
  • Performing quarterly, unquoted investment valuations under the IPEV guidelines
  • Pro-actively lead and drive continuous improvement in line with growth and ambitions of wider business

Portfolio Analysis:

  • Reviewing and approving portfolio company data submissions
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build strong relationships with portfolio company finance teams
  • Consolidation and analysis of data submissions, with subsequent monthly reporting to key senior firm stakeholders
  • Running fund level analysis and projected outcomes based on investment performance
  • Frequent use and maintenance of our portfolio reporting system iLevel
  • Additional project support to help drive reporting improvement projects

Requirements:

  • You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • You are likely to be coming out of accounting practice
  • Financial Services exposure highly desirable
  • Be an excellent communicator and have a positive, can-do attitude
  • Full training provided
