The Firm

A mid-market Private Equity firm specialising in investments across Europe, with 200 employees across three offices in UK, Germany and the US with assets under management (AUM) of £10 billion.

Job role

Reporting to one of the Fund Accountants at the firm's Head Office in central London, the successful applicant will be an integral part of the Finance Team (18 people) and be responsible for accounting, administration and reporting of onshore and offshore Fund Partnerships and Manager entities and other ad hoc accounting administration tasks.

Responsibilities

Fund Administration:

  • Responsible for maintaining Fund entity cash books and performing reconciliations;
  • Responsible for the Fund payment process;
  • Assisting with the investor calls / distribution process and performing call reconciliations and distribution payments;
  • Assisting with investment transactions record keeping process;
  • Reconciliation of investment holdings to Luxembourg office;
  • Responsible for maintaining loan stock schedules and performing quarterly reconciliations with portfolio companies and Luxembourg;
  • Responding to audit confirmation requests;
  • Producing reports for quarterly General Partner Board meetings;
  • Assisting with the quarterly investment valuation process;
  • Assisting the outsourced administrator's Depository team complete their review;
  • Liaison with Guernsey-based Administrator to ensure all requirements are met and resolving any investor queries;
  • Assisting with the completion of the annual Funds audit;
  • Assisting with the completion of the annual AAF audit (controls audit).
  • Liaison with banking service providers, for example, opening and closing of accounts;
  • General administration as well as ad hoc analysis as required from other team members.

Essential skills and abilities

  • Strong inter-personal skills;
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple work streams;
  • Ability to work to tight reporting deadlines;
  • Self-starter with a strong team work ethic.

Technical skills

  • Strong basic understanding of Excel;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
