Purpose

The Business Management team is part of M&G's Restructuring and Debt Solutions team and is responsible for the ongoing business management and operations of 14 intuitional funds, focussed on investing in distressed debt and special situations. Responsibilities of the team include management of existing funds, oversight of new fund launches, client reporting and management and third party supplier communication. Due to the launch of new products and an expanding client base, an opportunity has arisen to join the business side of the team based within M&G's Fixed Income business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ongoing assistance with the management and oversight of a portfolio of 14 funds, these responsibilities will include;
    Monitoring cash positions and FX hedging, Proposing FX and cash management trades as necessary, Instrument and data set up on investment systems, Working with Investment Management team on multiple fund related tasks
  • Update client reporting including; Investment level performance calculations, Solvency II Reporting, Portfolio Breakdowns for Quarterly Fund Reports, Weekly cash reporting for the Fund Manager
  • Producing data and reporting for ad-hoc client queries in line with team procedures
  • Regular reporting to Fund and Internal boards
  • Ensuring data on systems is accurate and robust to enable efficient portfolio management and data extraction
  • Assist with fund launches and updating of fund documentation
  • Analysis and oversight of NAV packs and financial reporting produced by third party administrators
  • Ensure team adherence to M&G and Fixed Income procedures
