Our client is a specialist Private Debt fund manager based in Mayfair AUM is currently over £1bn. An opportunity has been created to join the Finance team in a varied and very broad role which would include core finance, fund accounting and operations, systems and controls, portfolio administration risk reporting and risk reporting and statutory account preparation. Seeking a newly or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with requisite Private Equity/Private Debt experience

An opportunity has been created to join the Finance team in a varied and very broad role which would include core finance, fund accounting and operations, systems and controls, portfolio administration risk reporting and risk reporting and statutory account preparation. Seeking a newly or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with requisite Private Equity/Private Debt experience

The Role

  • Part of the core finance team working focused on portfolio accounting, administration, valuations, and reconciliation.
  • Review of monthly management accounts and quarterly financial statements
  • Review of all investor reporting including capital calls, distributions and investor queries
  • Help develop key management information reporting including production of monthly and consolidated KPI pack for Fund I, Fund II and Fund III
  • Liquidity management across Fund I, II and III
  • Working with Finance Director and Financial Controller on range of ad-hoc projects - eg Portfolio Risk Reporting, Liquidity Reporting, KPI reporting
  • Playing a key role in liaising with external Fund administrators, auditors, depositary provider, brokers and corporate banks.
  • Assistance with company secretarial tasks - minutes and arrangement of board meetings
  • Drive key projects including system integrations, improving control procedures, reconciliations etc.

Requirements

  • You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • You must have relevant fund accounting experience gained from either the Private Equity or Private Debt industry or from a fund administration company
  • You will have experience of either Private Equity or Private Debt fund
  • Be able to work as part of a small team with excellent all-round presentation and communication skills
