Full Stack Engineer
Bring your passion for product development and join our technology team as an Engineer focused on project deliveries across a large range of applications supporting our Commodities and Global Markets group. This is a great opportunity for a Developer with strong technical and communication skills to deliver in a challenging and dynamic environment.
As part of a vibrant team that supports globally used applications, you'll take part in the full solution delivery lifecycle, working on development and delivery of in-house solutions. You will also be trusted to mentor and lead junior team members.
The team uses robust SDLC and Agile methodologies and you'll be part of an evolving DevOps culture that gives you ownership of your solutions and applications. We want to empower you to continuously develop, so as a member of our team you will be supported to explore and grow through experimentation, hackathons, learning and community involvement. To be successful in this role you will bring a selection of the following:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in building and maintaining new and existing applications using Java 8 and Object-Oriented software analysis and design
- Minimum 5 years' experience in building and maintaining new and existing applications using AngularJS / Angular
- Passion for Test Driven Development (TDD)
- A good understanding of development tools like Bamboo, JIRA or similar
- Familiarity with Source Code Control tools like Git
- Basic understanding of Unix/Linux with some experience in shell scripting
- Understanding of Micro-services or RESTful service design
- Experience working in CI/CD environments
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Experience with front-end frameworks and a background in the financial industry will be an added advantage.
