To assist in providing comprehensive portfolio risk analysis and interpretation on core products across global investment strategies. The role will focus on Investment Governance across the CIO Front Office and providing effective oversight of all funds. Preparation for (and attendance at) the quarterly governance meetings by coordinating inputs for meeting packs, analysing the key drivers of risk and return, providing challenge and reviewing consistency of performance. The role will help to manage the oversight of the Investment Process review function, to help define how we review and drive improvement in our investment processes.

Key Accountabilities

-Maintain and provide thorough understanding of investment risk models, the drivers of market risk and the implications on product performance and attribution.

-Assist in producing analysis on investments, using qualitative and quantitative tools.

-Provide process oversight to ensure the application of robust, transparent and consistent processes. Support the Investment Process Oversight Group.

 

Typical Targets and Measures

 

-Demonstrate understanding in Fixed Income, Equities and Multi-Asset product strategies and products. Demonstrate an understanding of volatility and return by analysing key risk and performance drivers, asking insightful questions and providing challenge at quarterly governance meetings

-Delivery of insightful and well-written commentary to the Global CIO, Asset Class CIOs and management. These can range from short market commentaries and high-level summaries of key performance and volatility drivers across the entire front office, to detailed fund analysis and security selection.

-Demonstrate a thorough understanding of investment strategies and analyse the successful application of said process.  Act as a guide and advisor to teams undergoing process reviews and provide quality materials at review meetings.

-Ensure proliferation of investment analysis to the front office and senior management.

-Liaise with regional offices to ensure successful implementation of the global investment themes and principles to ensure the front office remains symbiotic and well integrated.
