Diversified Hedge Fund looks to attract a Portfolio Guideline and Investment Control Analyst based in its front office. The fund invests across multiple strategies and asset classes and therefore this candidate will focus on portfolio adherence and advisory to a diverse number of Portfolio Managers. This will extend to oversight of the funds investment activities to ensure accordance with relevant investment management agreements (IMA) regulations and internal policies and procedures.

Typical duties will include but not limited to;

  • Management of Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS) daily portfolio, pre and post trade alerts
  • Onboarding new funds, negotiating investment guidelines
  • Analysis of monitoring capabilities in CRIMS
  • Translate investment restrictions and regulation into coding in CRIMS
  • Ownership of rule library and coding
  • Support ongoing development of CRIMS, upgrades and enhancements
  • Provision of practical guidance of global regulatory investment restrictions such as Lux UCITS, Lux SIF, German UCITS, US 1940 ACT
  • Advising Portfolio Managers on the resolution of investment guideline breaches and trading issues
  • Implementing controls and supporting further enhancement to mitigate risk

Experience considered;

  • Strong knowledge of CRIMS
  • Experience of dealing with high volume pre and post trade alerts
  • Coding and translating investment restrictions
  • Working and advising Portfolio Managers directly on portfolio guidelines
  • Understanding of IMA and negotiating investment guidelines
  • Strong asset class knowledge
  • Experience across multiple investment strategies
  • Proven track record of working in fast paced environment, managing multiple alerts independently
