Our Client, one of London's best known property developers are currently seeking a Financial Controller to join the already existing high performing finance team. This role will support the Finance Director on key decision making, as well as mentor and manage junior team members. This business have gone through considerable growth acquiring and developing a number of flagship assets in central London and hope to continue developing new projects this year.
Our Client, one of London's best known property developers are currently seeking a Financial Controller to join the already existing high performing finance team. This role will support the Finance Director on new projects/ acquisitions and key decision making, as well as mentor and manage junior team members.
This business have gone through considerable growth acquiring and developing a number of flagship assets in central London and hope to continue developing new projects this year.
Key duties include but not limited to:
- Preparation of Group Management accounts and statutory reporting
- Budgeting and project analysis
- Responsibility for all aspects of property accounting, including rent collection service charge accounts and collection, and VAT for property business
- Timely and accurate preparation of quarterly and monthly rent demands
- All aspects of service charges including:
- Developing budgets with finance director and asset manager
- Issuing budgets and service charge demands
- Checking service charge orders
- Accurate accounting for service charge costs
- Preparation of quarterly service charge accounts and re-budgeting as required
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns for review
- Supervision of junior team members
Key requirements
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
- Experience working within a real estate developer, investor at a similar capacity
- Good understanding of property leases, regime implementation and service charges
- Good communication skills
